Close To The Edge / Ar An dTaobh Tuathail

Following a winter of tumultuous, dangerous, stunning weather I was inspired to capture the transformations of the mountains and sea around the Dingle Peninsula in a collection of landscapes and seascapes. This show has taken me quite literally To The Edge, as I pursued the light effects of winter storms, peered over sheer cliffs, hung on to tufts of grass in the teeth of gales, above the gulls, waves breaking overhead.

This new exhibition launches at the Ionad an Bhlascaoid (The Blasket Island Centre) in Dunquin, County Kerry on the 2nd May 2014 at 20:30.

Philip King of Other Voices and the RTÉ Radio One programme The South Wind Blows will launch the exhibit. He said "The light in West Kerry is inspiring enticing, seductive never holding still, it’s a muse to the vital and vigorous work of Patsy Farr. Her work lives inside this light and is driven by its energy."

You are cordially invited to view this collection of new works. The exhibit will run from the 2nd to the 12th of May at Ionad an Bhlascaoid and is kindly supported by Feile Na Bealtaine.
